Storytelling is an amazing tool for learning. As the oldest form of education, sharing stories helps increase cultural understanding, make learning easier, improves social skills and fosters the imagination through an engaging medium that captures the attention of everyone.  Pearson Field Education Center (PFEC) will begin STEM Story Time in June on each Saturday at 11am.

PFEC staff and volunteers will present stories that use science as a platform to excite and inform young children as they explore the astounding world of science and flight. Families can extend the fun by completing hands-on STEM activities inspired by each week’s book. STEM Story Time is included as part of Open Saturday’s admission fees. Admission is free to SNAP recipients.

Stories help us make personal connections to big ideas. STEM Story Time is developed through the support of Boeing, who has invested $15,000 in PFEC’s early learner’s initiative benefiting the youngest science learners.
