All across the nation\, folks will be participating in fun events to mark the semiquincentennial…say that five times fast. That’s right\, America is turning 250 years old and it’s time to party! The Historic Trust is partnering with the City of Vancouver to provide a festive day of fun family activities you won’t want to miss. \nThe Historic Trust will provide entertainment and activities from 12:00pm to 5:00pm\, with city-sponsored activities continuing after 5:00pm\, concluding with a movie in the park after sunset. \n  \nEntertainment Schedule:\n12:00 pm-12:30 pm\nPatriotic Pet Costume Contest SIGN-UP\n(Leashed pets only; Owner responsible for cleanup and control of pet) \n  \n12:30 pm-1:00 pm\nPatriotic Pet Costume Contest PERFORMANCE on stage\n  \n1:15 pm-2:00 pm\nVancouver Music Organization Ceremonial Trumpets\nThe Ceremonial Trumpets are a unique group that specializes in patriotic and ceremonial music. Modeled after the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets\, the ensemble includes three distinct types of fanfare trumpets that provide a rich\, powerful sound. \n  \n2:15 pm-3:00 pm\nOne of a Kind Drumline\nStarted in Fall of 2003\, the One of a Kind Drumline is a leadership program based in Vancouver\, WA helping middle school students use drumming to process emotions and navigate the ups and downs of life while having lots of fun in the process. \n  \n3:30pm – 4:30pm\nExit 52 \nExit 52 is a popular West Coast cover band performing in the Southern Washington\, Portland\, and the San Francisco Bay Area.  They play a wide variety of genres from rock\, funk\, pop\, blues\, to disco.
