Military History Talk: Historic Ambulance Replica Coming to the O.O. Howard House

June 27 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Come learn more about WWI-era Army field medicine courtesy of the Vancouver Barracks Military Association (VBMA). On Thursday, June 27, from 6:30 – 8 pm, the group will display their replica WWI-era military ambulance at the Howard House, 750 Anderson St., Vancouver.  VBMA volunteers drew on historic images and plans to build the ambulance around the frame of a Model T. The more than two-year project was completed in 2017. The group will also have other artifacts and photographs exhibited, and be on hand to answer questions about the history of the barracks, the oldest American military installation in the Pacific Northwest.
