The Historic Trust seeks support for rehabilitation of Providence Academy’s deteriorated north gallery porches and related accessibility improvements. This work, to be completed 2020-2021, advances community and Trust goals of preserving, rehabilitating, and interpreting Providence Academy for public access and benefit. This project is greatly needed to not only strengthen and beautify the historic 1873 building, which served the needy and generations of students under the care of Mother Joseph and the Sisters of Providence, but also to stimulate the regional economy in uncertain times with family-wage construction jobs. The Academy, a symbol of enduring hope, has inspired the community for many decades and can continue to do so with your generous gift.
This year, our Give More 24! campaign will be focusing on the rehabilitation of Providence Academy’s north porches. Thank you to the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington to putting on this event.
