Born in Spencer\, Oklahoma\, she began singing in church at age 13 and was directing choirs by 15. Her early exposure to traditional Black gospel music\, influenced by her evangelist grandfather and her mother’s gospel quartet\, laid the foundation for her lifelong dedication to music. \nFREE concert!
